Power Ten / Lake Phalen Community Rowing runs regular Information Sessions for prospective athletes and their parents; group and individual sessions for adult rowers; and organizes, as well as participates in, Nation-wide forums to support inclusivity in the sport of rowing.

COVID-19

Like all rowing clubs across the USA in 2020-21, LPCR has been profoundly impacted by Covid-19 and the measures that have been necessary to protect the public's health.

        Dates are therefore provisional and "to-be-determined" and "to be confirmed."

Lake Phalen Community Rowing offers a competitive program that develops young athletes from all skill levels and backgrounds to compete up to the national level in our sport.

WHAT DAYS AND TIMES ARE PRACTICES?

M-F 3:50-6pm, Saturday 8:50-11am

or   M-F 6:50-7am, Saturday 6:50-9am       

HOW LONG IS THE ROWING SEASON?

Rowing is a year round sport and youth can join at any time throughout the year.

 

WHERE ARE PRACTICES?

Indoors at 882 Rice Street (November-March)

Outdoors at the North side of Lake Phalen,  (April-October)

NO TRY_OUT or PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY

9th or 10th grade is an ideal time to start rowing and give this sport a try. Many High School athletes come to rowing from another sport in which they have topped out their skills and burnt  themselves out pursuing micro-advancements.

     Rowing programs, at their finest, combine productive physical training with the mentally immersive experience of being on the water in a beautiful place. Rowing, while it requires discipline, is also a stress-relieving escape from life pressures.Co
