Adult Program

POWER TEN'S PRIORITY

IS EXCELLENCE IN ITS JUNIOR TEAM.

The Lake Phalen Community Rowing Adult Program is intended to support our youth rowing program as we build a diverse, competitive team of young athletes from all backgrounds.

We hope to offer a small adult program in 2021. The majority of the Club's volunteers and coaches are active rowers themselves, and we want to make time in our own program to support and grow adult participation in our sport.

In 2020, the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic have slowed the development of our adult program.

Power Ten Rowing Club is registered with US Rowing (our sport's national organizing body here in the US), and participates in the US Rowing's Safe Sport program, which encourages a healthy, supportative, and inclusive environment for all participants.

For additional details, please refer to the CALENDAR and ROWING FAQ pages.

Open Team

In SUMMER 2020, Power Ten offered an early morning program MTWTFS Open Team program on Lake Keller, Maplewood with seats for college rowers and masters.

With the arrival of fall, restart of the program is TBD.

Due to Covid-19 complications, we hope to be back on the water with it in SUMMER 2021.

Four Day Learn-to-Row Adult Program

During the SUMMER and FALL, Power Ten runs four day Learn-to-Row programs (afternoons, MTWTh) on Lake Phalen through Lake Phalen Community Rowing.  This program is intended to give novice athletes a chance to discover, and develop, their rowing skills.

Club volunteers and coaches work individually with athletes to develop safe boating skills on land and in the water.
